Lessons for Beginners

Just starting out on the lute and looking for some introductory lesson materials? Here we have a set of introductory lessons to help you get started.

The pieces are taken from Lute Society publications and the lesson material is provided by Lynda Sayce. All the pieces chosen from '58 Very Easy Pieces' have been recorded by Jacob Heringman on Magnatune also on a CD available with the book; and all the pieces taken from '70 Easy Pieces' have been recorded David van Ooijen on Youtube.

Jacob Heringman is making a whole series of recordings for the Early Music Shop, at earlymusicshop.com/blogs/lute-info and has made filmed performances of all 58 pieces at: earlymusicshop.com/blogs/lockdown-lute The films can be found individually 1. vimeo.com/504762370, 2. vimeo.com/507944411, 3. vimeo.com/509880345, 4. vimeo.com/513409366, 5. vimeo.com/515324076, 6. vimeo.com/519014191
