The Dolmetsch Family with Diana Poulton: Pioneer Early Music Recordings, vol. 1
This CD collects together nearly all the recordings released by the Dolmetsch family on their own record label between the mid 1930s and 1948, newly transferred from original 78s, including works by Dowland, Byrd, Marais, Purcell, the Lawes brothers, Jenkins, Leclair and Beethoven (the ‘Moonlight’ sonata played by Arnold Dolmetsch on a 1799 piano) Carl Dolmetsch and Arnold Dolmetsch himself. Includes the lute playing of Diana Poulton (1903–1995) and Arnold Dolmetsch (1858–1940); a significant document in the modern history of the lute.

Pleasant are the Tears which Music Weeps
This is a CD of a fascinating and enjoyable hour-long BBC radio broadcast made in 1968, telling the story of the life of John Dowland in words and music. The script was written by Dowland’s biographer Diana Poulton, and Geoffrey Skelton, with (very aptly chosen) music played by Desmond Dupre and David Channon on lutes, and singers. For legal reasons we cannot sell this CD; instead we are lending out copies on long loan, free of charge, for the cost of postage only. We have had plenty of copies made, so are most unlikely ever to ask for them back!
Price: free (on long loan), for cost of postage only: £2 / US $ 4 / 3 Euros, anywhere in the world.
